As a teenager, the desire to go after the crowd is very high. This is because naturally, no one wants to feel left out. And come to think of it, who wouldn't want to be identified with a certain group group? After all, man is a social being, isn't he?
While the urge to go after the crowd is not bad in itself and sometimes can be quite beneficial, it can most often be misleading and poses a serious danger to anyone, especially the young minds. This is because as it's often said, 'all that glitters is not always gold'.
It's therefore imperative that a teenager be wise to see through in order to determine why he or she has to be or not be with a certain group of friends or acquaintances. It's equally important to ask such pertinent questions as: what is this crowd up to? Does its value align with mine? What impact would associating with this group have on my morality and general (both spiritual and physical) behavior and wellbeing? How would my loved ones feel when they get to hear or know that I am pitching my tent with such group of associates?
Self-searching questions like those would enable a wise and focused teenager determine whether or not to go after the crowd💝
