ARE YOU A GRATEFUL YOUTH?

How would you feel if someone you have  helped in some ways fails to show gratitude? Definitely sad, isn't it? Well, you aren't alone with such feeling. After all, it's normal to expect someone you have shown some sort of kindness to express appreciation. And it's often said that one show of gratitude breeds more kindness. Even the Almighty himself expects his human creatures to always include gratitude in prayers to Him, let alone mere humans like us🤷.

What about you? Are you a grateful youth? In what ways do you show your gratitude for the kindness shown to you by others, even though those are coming from family members? One way is by refraining from comments suggestive of your being nostalgic, that is, making the other person feel that he or she has done little or nothing when compared to what you used to enjoy in the past. That can be discouraging to the giver and might shut the door for subsequent extension of kindness to you🙅.

Another way is to say a sincere 'THANK YOU' to the giver and let him know how much his or her kindness would help you in some specific ways. Do not bottle up your feeling. After all, it's often said that  impression without expression is depression both to the giver and the recipient.

Though showing gratitude might not be natural to you, do well to learn to cultivate it,  for it is a desirable quality that endears others to you, and opens up doors for more favour.💯
