WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER (SIBLING) IS SICK

 There is no doubt that each family has its own peculiar share of challenge(s). One of such challenges could be a situation whereby a family member is seriously sick or even bed-ridden. That sick person might be one's sister or brother. No doubt, such situation can overwhelmingly have a toll on the normal activities of the other family members. In such situation, there might be need for each family member to constantly adjust and reschedule activities in order to ensure that the sick member is constantly looked after.

As a youth whose sibling is in this condition, how do you show that your parents aren't alone in this challenge? One way is by doing your best to assist in the household chores and taking your turn in caring for your ailing sibling. NEVER abaddon the entire load to just one member of the family, especially your mother. Doing so will relieve your parents of the psychological, physical and emotional burden such sickness can bring. If you are of age and employed, do well to assist in offsetting some medical bills.

Additionally, always encouraging and reminding your sick sibling of your love and unwavering support will go a long way in helping him or her pull through.

When family members cooperate to confront a problem however insurmountable it may prove to be, that problem would be  surely be surmounted.

By all means then, endeavor to do all you can to help your family overcome whatever obstacle that might come its way, bearing in mind that no family is stress-free. That's what family is  about... showing unweaving love and loyalty to one another; that's what siblings do for each other.
